Response to Ruddiman Piece
Mr. Ruddiman suggests in the article that human activity provided the spark for global warming thousands of years ago through farming, which released greenhouse gases. If humans could have warded off another ice age thousands of years ago through primitive methods, then imagine the extent done to the Earth's atmosphere through modern society's industrial mechanisms. The effect on the climate must be many times over as compared to the animal driven machinery of the olden days.
