Ian Clark of University of Ottawa

I have been looking at different website about global warming as a hoax and I was interested in the scientist who claimed that it was man made hoax. The one scientist in which caught my eye was Dr. Ian Clark of University of Ottawa. He has written article opposing global warming and most recently was the in UK movie "The Great Global Warming Swindle". When I looked at his actual website his research is in the area of geochemical, hyrdogeology, and paleoclimate. The thing that I thought was interesting looking at the actual research he has done most of deals with hyrdogeology and not paleoclimate, but on the hoax website they always have paleoclimate first with his title. It seems to me that his valid points but his researching in a different area. He doesn't deny the fact the glacliers are melting. He was on the list of 60 scientist who claimed global warming is man made. I want to look into the other scientist and see what their areas of research is and how they came to their own thinking about global warming.

  1. The movie "Great Global Warming Swindle" has gone through several variations -- after the first screening, they had to cut out some scenes because of the misinformation and misquoting scientists who threatened a lawsuit. It went from 72 minutes down to 52 minutes. You can find out what the climate scientists think of the remaining claims here: 1) A climate crock of the week analysis: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=boj9ccV9htk&feature=channel and 2) http://bravenewclimate.com/2008/09/06/dont-be-swindled/ which includes discussion by George Monbiot.
