Since Monday until posting this blog, I've drank 3 deer park bottled water (my roommates parents bring him a case of bottled water when they come to visit him), used my nalgene 5 times and have had at least 6 32 oz paper cups from the blue and grey. I've showered, flushed the toilet and washed my hands/face multiple times each. Although showering and washing my hands/face are absolute necessity they are pretty close to it. When I do shower and use a faucet I'm sure to be as quick as possible, although I do enjoy a warm shower.
I certainly could carry my nalgene around with me, and there is no reason I shouldn't, I've just never felt like making the change I suppose. Doing so would be sure to reduce some waste.

As far as the coorelation between energy efficiency and water usage, I stumbled upon the EPA website and found an interesting article. The article is about how aging water infrastructure in the U.S. is causing vast water supply, water conservation, economic and energy inefficiencies. All of which can buy at least temporarily resolved with greater government funding. Although the U.S. is already in an absurd amount of debt and no one enjoys seeing their paycheck cut in half from taxes, the current environmental crisis begs the question; are we even remotely spending our money (governmentally and personally) in morally and environmentally ways?
The conflict in the middle east is important for reasons beyond my comprehension. Shouldn't more of our taxes however go to energy efficiency, and keeping peace among humanity instead of shooting our brothers while our home is slowly boiling?
